In my last post, I mentioned a Gourmet Fair that my friends and I stumbled upon before separating ways. We didn't stay there for long, so I don't have full details for every stall. But I'll be doing my best to deliberate each one. :)
Before I head on, here’s to ending a stress-filled term; and starting another one. I’ve got other things to blog to you about since January, but school’s been taking up my time. So I’ll be making the best of our 1-week term break by readying the other posts, and having them officially on my blog queue. :)
This restaurant has been the most random I've ever been into. The designs per area were unpredictable! At one side, there's a touch of India; then on its wall is a collection of Chinese, waving gold cats.
You can find the branch we ate in at Scout Gandia, Tomas Morato, Quezon City, Philippines! :)

Sing the following line with Spongebob Squarepants' opening theme:
Great Japanese food here in the Philippines-- GIN-ZA BAI-RIN
Hehehe okay, I'll stop. :((
But I swear, you guys! If you're up for Japanese food that offers greatly cooked meat with meals that can come along with refillable salad, side dishes, and fruits-- this is your place. ;)
The branch we ate in is located at Glorietta 2's Ground Floor along palm drive, Ayala center. At Makati, Metro Manila.
Quoting my caption in Instagram:
Imagine being in Bora but the food stalls, and stores offered unique products ranging from edible cookie doughs to porkchettas to paella negras. That's Gourmand.
And hello once again, guys! I am back to blogging after hell-composed months!
I've got numbers of stalls in store for you in this post, so get ready. :>
This is a photo-heavy post, guys!
Bawai's Vietnamese Kitchen
Bawai's Vietnamese Kitchen, White Plains, Katipunan Avenue, Quezon City, Philippines
Interested in trying out something different?
How about trying Vietnamese at Bawai's? :)
Located along White Plains: #79th building!
Here's our next destination- Ilocos! Yaay, wooh!! This was actually my 2nd trip to Ilocos; and it didn't felt old. It was still full of admiration and adventures!
This a photo heavy post. :)
This a photo heavy post. :)

Wooh, Bora! <3
Boracay is such an unexpected trip for someone like me. Lol, why?
Firstly, I have this phobia for deep water; Secondly, I despise heat. Thirdly and lastly, bathing suits aren't my thing. Not like it's supposed to be a thing when going to Beaches, but it's still worth wearing when going, right?
However, as unexpected as this trip was, I had the most pleasant time in the island!
Aside from the fun and new activities I've tried, I've actually come to love the sun.
That's thanks to my 100 SPF Sunblock (only because of that);
I've come to plan going back with a bathing suit in my suitcase;
And I've mildly faced my phobia with deep water.
That is, with a lifevest.
Trust me, that's already great progress.
This is a photo-heavy post, guys! :)
Wooh Corregidor!!
Hey guys! Typhoon Glenda was in the Philippines for the past 24 hours and well, the effect here in the city isn't really 'devastating', but it was bad. There are branches and trees along the roads, metal signs were bent, electricity was lost and as of now, my phone's signal still isn't back. *sigh* also, I am able to post something right now because classes in my school are still suspended for tomorrow due to the effects there. Believe me when I say "trees and branches are scattered along roads", I mean it, really. School's been suspended since Tuesday and it's actually a good thing for me. You see, my professors aren't really the best right now. They aren't as friendly as my last ones from the past 3 terms. So yes, it affected my grades drastically considering that I'm aiming for consistency in being a dean's list.
SO YEAH GUYS, I AM NOT IN ANY WAY COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SUSPENSIONS. I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE MAKE-UP CLASSES AND SHORTER TERM BREAKS AS LONG AS IT TAKES ME LONGER TO SEE MY PROFESSORS AND AS LONG AS IT HELPS ME ACHIEVE OR FINISH MY REMAINING SCHOOL WORKS. Which I have finished. ;)
*breathes* I'm just so pissed off. Seriously. If I know that I deserved those grades, I would be as careless as a peanut (cause they're not alive... at all) but I knew I deserved better. I knew I worked hard in every activity. I did my freaking best and ugh.
Okay, I'm going to stop nagging and ranting because that and typhoon glenda isn't what this post is about. This post is about my favorite local songs which are really few and modern. I thought about making this post because I discovered another local song that I now love so much. So here they are guys (not in order):
1. "Taya" by Up Dharma Down
This was the first local song that I loved, and also, this was my first indication that I loved Indie music. I remember seeing the music video while it was Twilight with my room's lights closed. Then when I downloaded it to my mp3 player, I remember playing it whenever we're driving along Ortigas and any busy cities. I loved watching the city lights with the song in the background. It made me appreciate things at night. I still do. Guess this explains why I'm a night person. Haha! I just really like gloomy songs, I guess? Just... indie. I just really love indie.
2. "Guillotine" by Urbandub
I discovered this in MTV. Back when I was in 5th/6th grade to my 2nd year in Highschool, I always open the television to MTV. Whether I'm doing something and just having the channel in the background or just watching, it was my first go-to channel. and there, I discovered this song and it just really dragged me. That was also the same situation as my 3rd and 4th favorite song. :)
3. "Turbulence" by Paramita
4. "Diamond Shotgun" by Chicosci
... So I'm guessing that you guys now know that I have a thing for rock songs. ROCK SONGS ARE AWESOME. Whether it's punk, slow, metallica, screamo or whatever, rock will always be awesome for me. :bd
5. "Ikaw na na na" by G2B boys
Anything familiar? Yeahp! It sounds like Treasure by Bruno Mars. I think they really used that song as a base because during the "Got to Believe" series, that song was still a huge hit. And um. Yeah, I discovered that song from that show. I really loved that show. It always gave me the jiffys or it always made me feel "kilig". Erm, "kilig" is actually a Filipino word that can't be translated. Sorry! :(
and now my last favorite and my recently discovered one:
6. "Paligoy-ligoy" by Nadine Lustre
Too cheeky for me? I thought so too! But the song's so catchy and now, I can't get it off of my head. I still hum it once in a while and I'm having urges to dress up like her. yes, with the pigtail thing.
But then, it reminds me of "Little Secrets" by Passion Pit. So.. I have an excuse! ;)
Those are all my favorites! :) I've heard of some else but they just aren't my taste. They can be too 'jejemon', too trashy or painful to the ears, too blergh. :/
So guys try listening to these songs! They're really great. Well, for me. :) if you're from a different country, I'm not sure if these will suit your tastes, but it's worth the try! :)
Till my next post, guys! Oh, and keep safe during Typhoons. It's that time of the year again. :/
Have a great day! xx
Hola everyone! Advance Merry Christmas to all of you! :) and speaking of Christmas, before the occasion happens, I'm going to finish and post up all my drafts. I wasn't able to finish, nor continue any of them because of school. And our classes will resume on January 6 already.. *sigh* so I'm going to take full advantage of my free time and post up all my stocked posts. :D
So there's this recently opened place near the building of the Arts students of Benilde along P. Ocampo street, Taft. It's called Bibimbap and it's a korean cafe/ restaurant. Their menu isn't much of a variety, but I love that place. When we went there for the first time, which is their opening day, they were 50% off since then and for about 2 weeks. So instead of spending Php100+, we spent less which was 2 weeks of heaven for korean food lovers along Taft.
My friends and I have eaten there for several times already that I forgot to take photos and to even taste the other food ordered there by my friends. TT.TT sorry.
One of the things I love about Bibimbap is their interior. It's like Noriter but Bibimbap is bigger than Noriter's branch in Taft.
^view inside our "box" :)
Oh, if you're wondering.. Yes, you do have to take off your shoes when you sit in the indoor ones, the ones on top, or the ones that we sat in (our "box"). Hashtag Korean feels. Haha!
So here are what we ordered (the ones I've only taken photographs of):
This one's categorized as a Frappe but it doesn't have coffee. It's called Butterscotch Frappe and the sad thing is, it's not in the menu. As in you won't find it on the menu in the cashier (first picture). We only found out about it because when it was our first time coming there, we saw one that's ready to be served and we thought it looked really looked delish. So we asked the cashier lady what it was and we ordered it too. Maybe it's like Starbucks's secret recipe thing? The one you can only find in the internet? Haha! I haven't researched it yet (i love searching.. If you only knew my mad experiences), but once I do, I'll update you guys.
This one's kind of obvious. Haha! It's French Toast and I wasn't able to take a photo of it UNEATEN YET. Haha! Look, the service that day was really poor. So tolerating the food was not easy. =))
This one's the Country House Sandwich. It's really good but I think its price isn't worth it.
This one's the Spicy Cheese Ramen and this is my favorite among them!! <3 This is what I order everytime I eat there. Haha! Plus, it comes with a free Kimchi sidedish that's refillable. Please order this when you eat there! HAHA
This one's a Bibimbap and as far as I know, it's the Beef Bibimbap. It's good too and it also comes with a Kimchi sidedish. :)
This one's the last. It's.. Again, obviously a Blueberry Cheesecake. And I am so lucky that I didn't order one because to be frank, it was really small for something worth Php100+. Look at how it's melted and all smudged. It's not as big as it looks in the picture, not even "formly" close. -.-
So that ends this post. Haha! Hope you enjoyed this one. :)
Advance Merry Christmas!! :)
