if this hot face caught your eye, this book will, too. <3
Hey guys!! It's currently our finals week and a week before Christmas break. So it's only going to be a short while until I post the rest of my drafted posts. :D
This book review's going to be a special one because it's my favorite book's. Well, at the moment, it is. I haven't read any new books since this one because I just couldn't move on. Haha! I can't get over the story, and the male freaking protagonist! It's like I was the female protagonist as I read the trilogy.
So um, some of you might have guessed it already. It's.. 50 SHADES OF GREY.
Yes, the 50 shades trilogy that's commonly known for its erotic content, but that's not why I love the darn book. Well, maybe that's not the only reason why I love the book. Haha!
At first, when I heard my friends reading 50 shades, I judged instantly and thought that they wanted to read the trilogy because of the erotic parts. But then, I grew curious of why it's been really favored by lots of ladies, so I gave it a try.
When I started reading the first book, I found it entertaining already. What made it more entertaining is the kilig effect it has. From the moment Anastasia Steele fell in Christian Grey's office, I grew interest in it already. So um, you can say that I love cheezy stories.. ALOT. Haha!
When the erotic parts started, it wasn't much of a big deal for me. Yes, I read some of those parts (although, when I started the 2nd book, I skipped through those scenes and just read the dialogues), but it really wasn't that big of a deal. Probably since I didn't gave those much attention and because I only focused on their love story or the story itself. So I didn't gave those scenes malice. I swear, if you gave the story more focus rather than the erotic scenes, the trilogy's awesome. :D
As usual, I read the trilogy in my cellphone through an ebook reader app for androids. I read it for almost 2 weeks and I highlighted and noted hundreds of lines from each book. That's how much I loved it! There were those times that I squealed over a super sweet scene and I end up wishing I was Anastasia (and that the fictitious story's real); there were also times that I would punch the air or a pillow or a stuffed toy, just anything soft because of the kilig. Haha! It was really, really worth it, for me. :D
Since it's a trilogy, and some might think (like me at first) that the trilogy's all about sex and makeouts, here's my short description for each of the book:
50 Shades of Grey
This book is more of Lust because it's when their relationship isn't much developed and settled yet.
50 Shades Darker
This book is more about their Love. It's when their relationship's settled and decided already.
When it comes to sweetness, cheezyness, and mushy moments, this is my favorite book of the trilogy.
And lastly,
50 Shades Freed
And this book is more Intense. Because.. Well, you're going to have to read it to know why. Haha! If I tell you, I'm going to be a huge spoiler. ;)
Oh, and when it comes to touching scenes, and scenes that can get you all teary-eyed, this is the book. *thumbs and toes up*
So there! 50 freaking shades of hot, and beautiful Christian Grey. I strongly recommend everyone to read it. Obviously because it's my favorite. Haha! And there's that one situation in the story, in the character of Christian Grey and his past that made me feel connected to him. The things or feelings I had that I didn't knew how to describe became clear because of his character and his story. Only the peeps who've read the trilogy can guess what it is. :)
50 shades trilogy: 18/10 :bd
Oh! And if you're wondering who the beautiful man in the top of my post is, that's Jamie Dornan. A.k.a. The Christian Grey of the upcoming 50 shades movie. Hot, isn't he? I was originally voting for Channing Tatum. But then, when I saw his pictures from the set, I had the feeling that he fits the role well. :D
But Dakota Johnson though... I don't know. Haha! Hope you guys enjoyed this post!
Here's another picture of Jamie beautiful Dornan for a beautiful ending to this post. Haha! <3
I don't own the pictures. :)
