FLYING HOME movie review! (Jamie Dornan)
Wednesday, September 03, 2014
I stated in my previous post that Jamie had a new movie which was this: Flying Home. I remember when I first found out about this. My main reactions were "WHOA. SO IS THIS LIKE, A SNEAK PEAK OF CHRISTIAN GREY??" and "FINALLY! A MOVIE WITH JAMIE IN IT... AS A MAJOR CHARACTER!". It's uppercased because everytime I say things about Jamie Dornan, or even just by thinking of him, I fangirl so much that it's so hard to keep calm!! It's making me insane because this is seriously my first time to fangirl over a celeb. I mean, yeah, I've idolized different stars and all, but this one's different... It's fangirling; and for some reason, I don't really mind what other people think. The updates are making me happy and seeing Jamie everyday on my TL's making me happy, so I don't think that there's a really negative side to this, considering the fact that Jamie motivates me to strive hard because of his Christian Grey role. *sigh* So guys, if you haven't experienced fangirling, don't be scared to! It's actually fun. You tend to feel productive when you know you're updated; and also, your fandom can be your very own drug! Atleast this addiction can't and won't ever harm you! ;)
So anyway, Flying Home.
Flying Home is actually a Belgian movie. Most scenes were shot in Belgium, and some scenes are even in Belgian (it's not Jamie who'll be speaking Belgian, if that's what you're thinking. Teehee). So be sure to watch or download one with subtitles! :)
How did I find the movie?
I found Flying Home as one of those you-can-watch-anytime-movies. It has some sense of drama in it, but it can be light to watch. The only real dramatic parts in the movie are near the end, and the falling action and conclusion of the movie's even short.
What's interesting or attention grabbing in the movie for me?
One of the things that grabbed me in the movie is its quality and lighting. The lighting isn't bright; it's as if the scenes are cloudy or soft even when the scene is in daytime. And that, makes a movie soothing, and comfortable to watch. Like the lighting of the "How I met your Mother" series.
Another is Jamie's acting in his roles. You see, in Flying Home, Jamie has 2 roles. A good and bad one. In the story, he's really a businessman who at first, only cared about the money and only aimed to get Isabelle's Grandfather's Pigeon; but when he came to Belgium and met Isabelle, he became similar to as any smitten guy. So he became (pretentiously) a good, and soft person. Someone you'd probably want your parents to meet (especially his looks, omg). So you'll get to see those 2 personalities in him in the movie. You'll even get to see him drunk and in a fight! Oh, and you'll get to hear him with an American accent!! ;)
My rating for the movie. 5 stars being the highest:
✵✵✵ and a half. :)
I recommend you guys to try watching this! It's a really nice movie, and who knows? Maybe you'll have this as one of your watch-anytime list of movies. Aaand, you'll be able to see what Jamie's capable of and how his acting is! So go watch it now, guys! You won't regret it. :)
Thanks for reading! xx :)
